I participate in a specialized trainee program called "Career Starter Telecom" at SBB. This year-long program encompass three distinct assignments aimed at expanding my knowledge and skills. In my initial assignment, I was involved in portfolio management.
My primary responsibility was to create and execute a proof of concept that merged financial data from SAP with project realization data from Jira. This endeavor aimed to provide real-time, comprehensive information to management, offering an overview of all strategic projects. To achieve this, I formulated a data model, which underwent validation by the management, and subsequently implemented it on a database.
Additionally, I developed a Python script to populate the database with data extracted from SAP and Jira. This script ensured a seamless flow of information, enabling accurate and up-to-date insights for decision-making. Through this experience, I gained valuable expertise in data management, integration, and scripting, contributing to the overall success of the project.
